Frequently Asked QuestionsIn this section:
What does NBS stand for? Who designs NBS cables? Why are some cables measured in feet and others in meters? Can I get a special connector? What's in these cables that they're so darn expensive?
Why are some cables measured in feet and others in meters?Every type and length of NBS cable consists of a different design. For example, a four-foot SERPENT IV RCA Interconnect is not the same design as a 20-foot SERPENT IV RCA Interconnect. The wire weave patterns and shielding vary depending on the distance the signal must travel. Originally, all NBS cables were designed in feet. NBS entry level cables and all digital cables are measured in the metric system as the weave patterns for these cables were originally conceived in the metric system. |
